The local Cub Scouts of Pack 4445 are teaming up with youth from the One God Network to host a community food drive this Saturday, May 7. The food drive will take place in Buffalo Center, Lakota, and Rake.
Community members are asked to place food and toiletries they’d like to donate in a bag outside by their front door. Bags should be put out before 9 a.m. on Saturday, when the kids will begin going around the towns to collect them. The items collected will go to the North Iowa Food for Families food shelf in Buffalo Center.
