Funding is on the way for Emergency Medical Services in Winnebago and Kossuth Counties, after voters approved a pair of ballot measure in Tuesday’s election.
In Winnebago County, a measure for a $0.75 per $1,000 property tax levy and 1% income surtax passed by a vote of 2,646 (62.24%) to 1,605 (37.76%). Kossuth County’s ballot measure for a $0.75 per $1,000 property tax levy passed by a vote of 4,153 (63.37%) to 2,401 (36.63%). The approval rate in both counties was slightly over the 60% threshold needed for the measures to pass.
