Buffalo Center’s plans to pave the tennis court at Lions Park suffered a setback last week, as a bid for the project came in at nearly $50,000.
The City had hoped to save money on the project by using the same contractor who is handling this summer’s street project. The City asked Heartland Asphalt to put in a bid for the tennis court after accepting the company’s bid for the 2022 street project last month. Heartland Asphalt’s bid for the tennis court totaled $48,937 for an asphalt overlay or $74,781 to remove and replace the existing court.
