Old Fire Liquor kicks off summer car shows

Kristin Formanek of Garner took home the prize for Best in Show at the first Car, Bike & Truck Night of the summer last Monday, June 30 in Buffalo Center. Joining Kristin, center, is her husband, Brent, at left, and Eric Wolsing of Oak & Anvil Works, who created and sponsored the Best in Show trophy. Kristin said she bought the car, a Camaro, for her husband for their 25th wedding anniversary. Last week’s car show was bumped back a day due to a threat of storms on Sunday. There has also been a schedule change for the July 27 car show, which will now begin at 3 p.m.
