Iowa Senator Joni Ernst (R) learned how the John V. Hanson Career Center at Forest City is preparing young people for careers in manufacturing, construction, information technology and health.
Ernst’s stop in Hancock County on June 1 was part her 99-county tour of Iowa.
The John V. Hanson Center opened in October of 2021. Partner schools are North Iowa Area Community College, Garner-Hayfield-Ventura, Forest City, Lake Mills, and North Iowa. Student can earn college credit by enrolling in NIACC classes at the Center.
