Two North Iowa bowlers placed high in the standing at the state bowling qualifier meets held Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 12 and 13 at Locomotion Lanes in Sanborn.
The girls’ meet took place first on Monday, where Sophia Hagen led the way for North Iowa with a fifth-place individual finish. She had a 483-pin series for the day. Kylee Thompson was next with 378, followed by Madison Berg with 351 and Lisa Heyer with 331. The girls were fourth in the team tournament with 1447 pins. Charles City was first with 2361, and Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn was second with 1938.
