Beckman breaks record for assists at North Iowa

North Iowa senior Lily Beckman is the new school record holder for volleyball assists, as she finishes her high school career with 1,491 assists across four seasons.

Beckman broke the previous record of 1,176 assists back on September 26 at Newman Catholic. This was the same match where her teammate Ashlyn Bechler broke the North Iowa record for career kills, but Head Coach Sophia Rodriguez says the team didn’t realize at the time that Beckman had also set a new record that night. The previous assists record was set by Hannah Main in 2019.
