The North Iowa track and field season is off to a positive start, with a new school record being set at the first meet of the year last Monday, April 4 at Osage. Leah Kramersmeier set a new high mark in the girls’ shot put, as she threw for 38’ 3.75” to break the record she set last season of 38’ 3”.
Other top performances for North Iowa at the Osage co-ed meet included Luke Baumann with a first place finish in the 200 meters, Miriam Beenken with a second place finish in the girls’ 3000 meters, and another second place finish for the boys’ 4x800 relay team.
