New COVID cases decline in Winnebago County
Winnebago County saw a significant decrease in new COVID-19 infections last week, with 56 new cases reported between Tuesday, Nov. 24 and Monday, Nov. 30. That number is nearly half of what it was a week ago, after two weeks of 100-plus cases being identified in the county. Winnebago County had 931 confirmed cases as of Monday, including 397 active cases. No new deaths were reported.
The number of new cases remained high in Kossuth County last week, however, with 139 new cases being reported between Nov. 24 and 30. The total cases in the county as of Monday numbered 1,076, which includes 556 active cases. Kossuth County has also reported three more deaths related to the illness for a total of seven.
