Winnebago County approaches 500 COVID-19 cases

COVID-19 activity remains high in Winnebago County, with a large number of new cases since the middle of October. As of Monday, Oct. 26, there were 157 new cases reported in the county this month, with 19.5% of test results coming back positive in the prior 14 days. Total positive cases in Winnebago County was 491 on Monday.

Additional deaths have also been reported in the county due to the illness, for a total of 19.

Kossuth County has seen a similar rise in COVID-19 cases, with 154 new cases reported so far in October, reaching a total of 466 cases since the pandemic began. The positivity rate is lower in Kossuth County, however, with 11.5% of tests coming back positive over the prior two weeks. No deaths have been reported in Kossuth County due to COVID-19.
