COVID-19 numbers for Feb. 23-Mar. 1
New positive COVID-19 tests remained in the single digits in Winnebago County over the past week, with just seven tests showing a positive result between Feb. 23 and March 1. The 7-day positivity rate was 3% in the county, and the total number of people tested is 1,380.
Most of the COVID-19 vaccines administered in Winnebago County last week were second doses. Only 25 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine, for a total of 1,127, but 213 individuals received their second dose to complete their vaccine course, for a total of 486.
In Kossuth County, the 7-day positivity rate fell to 4% over the past week, with 13 positive tests reported. A total of 2,082 tests have been conducted in the county. The first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine was administered to 478 individuals in the county last week, for a total of 2,393, while 25 people received their second dose, for a total of 490 having completed their vaccine course.
No new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported in either county last week, as Winnebago County reports a total of 30 deaths, and Kossuth County has seen 54 deaths.
